How many friends is too many?

July 30, 2004

A couple of friends have been in a heated debate off and on during the last few months regarding Friendster. The bad news is there hasn't been a resolution yet, but the good news is they are both glad to see Alf back on TV.

How to use your cellphone

July 28, 2004

Some people walk around with a cellphone like it is the actual meaning of life. "Cellphone, please tell me again your perspective of good versus evil." Oh wait, maybe the person was just talking to their philosophy classmate.

Anyway, I've come up with some simple tips that probably most of you won't agree with, but I think it would make the world much more livable.

Latest 'Star Wars' installment has a name

July 26, 2004

By now you've heard, but to reiterate, George Lucas announced that "Revenge of the Sith" will be the title of the third and last movie of the prequel series.

Of course, we still have until May 19 until the movie comes out, but hey, it has a title, so Star Wars fans everywhere are rejoicing. What, you're not a Star Wars fan? Are you sure you really even exist?

First book draft finished

July 25, 2004

For those interested, I completed the rough draft of my book last night. Thankfully, the ending makes sense, although there is plenty of editing left to do. Once I get through that first round, I plan to post some samples on this site, as well as asking a few people to read through the manuscript.

Also, I'm in the process of finding a literary agent, who will then help me select the correct book publisher. There are a lot of options, so hopefully my research will pay off. I'll furnish more information from time to time as I figure out exactly what to do with the book.

Where would we be without parking garages?

July 23, 2004

I'm sure most people overlook the importance of a parking garage, but luckily, there are people on the Web who don't overlook ANYTHING.

I haven't been able to find an exact history on parking garages, but I found all the information I ever wanted to know about them, and some that I didn't want to know anyway.

Here's hope for unbiased information

December 1, 2003

Can you believe anything anymore? I'm starting to wonder this myself. I open

the paper and see accusations flung about everyone from Michael Jackson, the

king of pop, to Arnold Schwarzenegger, the kindergarten cop. Are they innocent?

Are they guilty? Are they both aliens from a different planet anyway?

Amazingly enough, there is a place on the Web that you are GUARANTEED to find

actual facts about many different items. And when I say guarantee, I don't

mean it like, "I guarantee you will enjoy this lifetime supply of shark

Big boys Microsoft, Amazon tag-team against spammers

September 29, 2004

It's not Hulk Hogan and Randy "Macho Man" Savage, but Microsoft and Amazon, two world Internet corporation leaders, have filed a dual lawsuit against a Canadian company to again try to halt spam.

Since you're getting junk mail, try to get free stuff too

April 2, 2001

I'm not usually one to steal ideas for a column, but this one was too good to pass up. Macworld had a story in its April edition about free stuff on the Internet. I wouldn't consider myself one of those people who go to different fairs with the sole intention of seeing how many magnets and pencils I can collect in a plastic Go Army bag, but if something's cool and free, I'll give it a try.

New job

September 5, 2007

If you are wondering why I haven't been updating my site much lately, then you I have two things to tell you:

1. Go to a different website! There are plenty of other things on the Internet.

2. I haven't updated much because I just started a new job at Naviance in Washington, D.C.

Your computer equipment needs a bath

October 28, 2002

There are things I'd rather do than clean my computer

mouse. Really, there are. For instance, licking envelopes

is fun. I also like to cut duct tape with dull scissors.

The thing that separates these other items with cleaning

a mouse is that I need my mouse to perform about 95

percent of my work duties. I need duct tape and envelopes

the other 5 percent whenever I mail chain letters to
