Like any sane human, I like apples. Yes, I like both the fruit and the computer, but let's stick with the edible one for now.
The problem, however, is there are many varieties of apples, so when I go to the grocery, it can be somewhat difficult to pick me favorite. Then again, I do like just about all varities, but I'm sure there are some I've never had. So how would I find out about the types of apples I'm missing?
After a couple of weeks of breaks, I will be back on the book tour 12:30 p.m. March 11 at A Reader's Corner Bookstore, 138 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, Ky. There's a children's book reading that starts at 11 a.m., and I may show up and read to the kids, depending on the schedule. The theme for the reading is St. Patrick's Day.

I have never heard of the term "dancing bologna" in reference to ridiculous and crazy design implementations. But if doesn't surprise me that the term exists, basically due to the amount of insane websites that have been perpetuated online.
There's a great article on DanCentury.com that describes many of these items, and unfortunately, gives examples as well.
Luckily, some of the items have died off a bit, but many still lurk, especially popup ads. The end of those will not come soon enough.

My latest stop on the print publicity trail for "The Developers" brought me to the Louisville Eccentric Observer, where writer Paul Kopasz completed a feature story on self-publishing and on-demand printing.
I received a decent write up concerning the steps I took to get printed, plus a photo from my appearance in New Albany. Here's the link to the article.
The news of my engagement should really not come as a surprise to those who know me. I have been contemplating asking my dear Lena for at least a few months, although I could never be sure it was the right thing to do. I also did not want to make the engagement trivial, nor did I want to partake in the request in any typical format. I devised pieces of a plan long ago in an attempt to be both surprising and unique, and I'm proud to admit now that I succeeded in these tasks.
Riding in a car during a long trip is a lot like sitting in front of a computer for a day. You know, staring aimlessly at whatever is in front of you thinking of a million different places you'd rather be and yelling to no one in particular because you've just encountered the Leave-on-Your-Left-Turn-Signal entourage.

Although Ben Woods has been writing a computer column for years, he didn't spend much of his early years writing fiction. Before moving to Owensboro to join the Messenger-Inquirer and, later, Red Pixel Studios, Woods' last short story was written when he was in high school.

The U.S. elections are finally over, and either you're elated, frustrated or somewhere in between (maybe your guy/girl won the big race, but that bond issue for building a life-size replica of the Millennium Falcon in your basement didn't quite make it). Following the races, specifically the presidential race, on TV, the web, Twitter, etc., was a somewhat dizzying experience. With the electoral votes changing rapidly, the election almost seemed like a basketball or football game, with continual highs and lows as the totals were revealed.
