I have a computer at work and a computer at home. They have never met each other, yet they perform the same functions for me. I don't think they get jealous, but then again, I've never asked both of them.

If you're in the same dilemma as I am, you've probably thought at least 521,052 times about moving information from one to the other. For me, that's not as big of a problem as just linking to important websites that I may find at home or at work. Luckily, there are multiple websites that allow you to share bookmarks, and even share them with anyone online.

AOL has had its moments over the years, but attempting to level a tax on sending email is just a bit over the top. Fortunately, with the help of MoveOn.org, there's an online petition you can sign to thwart this from starting.

The organization has created Our Open Letter to AOL to help prohibit AOL and other ISPs from setting a tax on emails. Let's face it: Would you pay to send an email?

Regardless of whether or not you're a PC or Mac person, recent reports of the first Mac viruses have definitely been intriguing to the computing world.

There have been numerous stories mentioning the Mac OS X's security issues, and even more recently, a third virus for the operating system has appeared.

The thing is, Apple and most Mac users would be the first to admit that a virus has always been plausible, not unthinkable as many PC users have described Mac addicts.

After a couple of weeks of breaks, I will be back on the book tour 12:30 p.m. March 11 at A Reader's Corner Bookstore, 138 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, Ky. There's a children's book reading that starts at 11 a.m., and I may show up and read to the kids, depending on the schedule. The theme for the reading is St. Patrick's Day.

Like any sane human, I like apples. Yes, I like both the fruit and the computer, but let's stick with the edible one for now.

The problem, however, is there are many varieties of apples, so when I go to the grocery, it can be somewhat difficult to pick me favorite. Then again, I do like just about all varities, but I'm sure there are some I've never had. So how would I find out about the types of apples I'm missing?

I have never heard of the term "dancing bologna" in reference to ridiculous and crazy design implementations. But if doesn't surprise me that the term exists, basically due to the amount of insane websites that have been perpetuated online.

There's a great article on DanCentury.com that describes many of these items, and unfortunately, gives examples as well.

Luckily, some of the items have died off a bit, but many still lurk, especially popup ads. The end of those will not come soon enough.

This is a couple of days late, but after waiting and realizing the New Albany, Ind., News-Tribune wasn't going to put the feature article about me online, I decided to type it myself. My latest stop on the print publicity trail for "The Developers" brought me to the Louisville Eccentric Observer, where writer Paul Kopasz completed a feature story on self-publishing and on-demand printing.
