Original crazy survey comments

August 5, 2005

It sees the older I get, the crazier everyone else gets!!!! I see examples almost everyday. Some days, I see several. I was serious when I went online to see if anyone else felt the same. I took your "quiz" and I am almost insane. Maybe it is me and not them.

Just confirms what I'd already been thinking. Ha ha.

Mouse here to save the day

August 2, 2005

After centuries and centuries of one-button mice, Apple has finally released a mouse with four buttons and a multidirectional scroll bar. No, I'm not kidding, it really did happen! It's called Mighty Mouse, and it works with both Macs and PCs.

The Developers available at Amazon.com

July 25, 2005

If you have read the book already, feel free to rate it as well as write a little review. If you haven't read it, you can rank it anyway ... of course it will be good! If you are interested in purchasing it, you may do so from Amazon, but I would recommend buying it directly from me, just because that seems easier, don't you think?

Check out The Developers on Amazon.com.

The Internet really isn't that heavy

July 16, 2005

Have you ever wondered how many people are on the Internet in a given day? Yeah, me neither.

G-8 Summit again tries to address global warming

July 4, 2005

Scotland will be a hot place to be this week, as the The Group of Eight (G-8) leaders of the world's most industrialized countries will meet to discuss important international items, including global warming. So far, the U.S. is the country not currently backing the proposed ideas, which is somewhat similar to the Kyoto Protocol, which was ratified by 141 countries as of February, but not the United States.

Book review: "Rob Neyer's Big Book of Baseball Lineups"

March 30, 2008

As a huge fan of baseball, I enjoy reliving the past seasons, teams and players that I may have seen, read or heard at some point in time. Rob Neyer cleverly combines the best and worst of every Major League Baseball team in his "Big Book of Baseball Lineups".

Start preparing for the next Y2K

January 18, 2005

Just when you think computers will finally stop complaining about the Gregorian calendar, it appears there are numerous problems just waiting to happen.

We have only 34 years until the Y2038 bug finally finds us. It's hard to say right now how big the bug will be, but I'm guessing somewhere between a mosquito and a giant praying mantis.

A sampling of a few new reviews ...

May 25, 2012

Here you go:

- " ... a great writing style, and I always appreciate a dose of subtle cynicism in anything I read."

- "The book was a humorous take on the corporate world, the stress, the relocation, the robot-type of requirement to fit it."

- " ... had me laughing out loud."

There's more on the reviews page!

Turn all the TVs off with just one button

October 26, 2004

When I originally wrote this, I was also keeping tabs on the St. Louis-Boston World Series game. It's a distraction I can live with, though, because baseball is more important than telling you what's on the web, right?

Then again, if my TV went out, I would be furious because I'm a Boston fan. But if it were the Yankees playing the Astros, and if the TV went off, I probably wouldn't care.

European countries: stop using IE

January 19, 2010

When entire countries decide that your browser is a security risk, that's probably not good news for your company. That's the case with Microsoft and Internet Explorer, as French and German governments are recommending their people to use safer alternatives to IE.
