Add Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Lexington, Ky., to the growing number of bookstores that is carrying the tech-humor fiction novel, "The Developers." The store is located at 161 Lexington Green Circle, Suite B1, in Lexington and can be found online at www.josephbeth.com.
If you haven't been to Friendster lately, it might be time to go back and check it out. Released in September, Friendster 2.0 appears to be not only leading the way with online social networking, but it may also be replacing Internet dating websites.
There are a fair amount of improvements with the new Friendster, including the following:
- FriendTracker: Real-time updates about your friends' information
- Customizable Profile: Ability to use HTML or CSS for your profile
Borders stores in Champaign, Ill., Evansville, Ind., and Poor Richard's Books in Frankfort, Ky., are now selling "The Developers." Well, I should say I'm assuming they are selling the books, as long as the shipments made it there and they aren't sitting in the back of the store somewhere.

The page is on the web, but it just goes to show that not everything is on the web. I realize this is a bit of logic problem, but just deal with it!
Some people love them. Some people hate them. Most people don't understand them, yet many people use them anyway.
While this could describe cellphones, I'm actually talking about emoticons. Even this program thinks it's a misspelled word. Fortunately, there is plenty of information online to give you the background on these wacky characters.
Corporate Ties has been available at any Barnes and Noble location for a while (although not necessarily stocked in the store). The good news is that Carmichael's, Louisville's oldest independent bookstore, now has copies at both of its locations.
Carmichael's is a great locally owned bookstore. I've made purchases there; I've been to events there; and I've had a book talk there as well. When you stop by, tell them I sent you!

The holiday season is upon us again. Then again, what if every season, or even every day, was the holiday season?
If I told you that somewhere in the world, there sits a huge container filled with salt, one grain for each person on the planet at the very moment, would you believe me? Of course not, but little do you know that it does, indeed, exist at The Salt Monument in Boulder, Colo.
It's amazing how many people online now have never experienced the original Atari. You still see Space Invaders and Centipede appear in various places occasionally, but I wonder how many people even know how popular these games were in the late 70s and early 80s.
