During a normal week, I probably receive circulars from 15 different grocery stores, which I assume are in my area. I have visited many of them; others are a little too far out of my way; and still others are no where to be found. One reason I've tried a few of them is to compare prices. More often than not, there are good enough sales to warrant specific trips. Although, sometimes that backfires, as was the case in a recent trip to SuperFresh.
You are familiar enough with the most recent technological innovations of the 21st century. But before we get too carried away with time travel, it's worthwhile to sit back and relive some of those bad ideas.

I'm not here to argue whether it's right or wrong to download free music where it's available, or whether it's OK to listen to your friend's "Beach Boys Greatest Hits Album." I'm just here to point out what the RIAA wants you to believe about the cost of music and CDs.

Everyone likes pictures: taking pictures, posing for pictures, ripping up pictures of exes.
Now that I said that, you're probably thinking you're one of those people who cannot stand getting your picture taken.
Nearly everyone I have talked to has heard of Upton Sinclair, a muckraker at the turn of the 20th Century. And more often than that, people have heard of "The Jungle," one of his masterpieces. Yet I have not encountered a single person who has read the book, nor anyone who knows more about the book than its focus on the meat-packing industry.
Where do your tax dollars go? What data is being collected in this country anyway? Previously, these were difficult questions to answer, but the new administration appears to be making headway toward real answers.
Sometimes books are labeled fairly in a certain genre, although they may appear to people who do not normally enjoy the given category. "Ender's Game," by Orson Scott Card, has to be categorized as a science-fiction novel. But luckily for the reader, it's much more than that.
