The deadline has past, but Internet radio is still on. Maybe it will stay that way for a little while longer.
Negotiations are still rolling since SoundExchange, which is the overseer of recording industry royalty fees, agreed to continue searching for new rates. The biggest issue, it seems, is coming to a suitable compromise between large and small webcasters. It appears that some of the major players, like Time Warner and Yahoo! will have to pay the royalties, just like everyone else.

I'm really getting into the characters. I think you do a great job in setting up the characters, their pasts, etc. You are good at writing women, by the way. How did you learn how to do that?

As of today, we have just a few days remaining until Internet radio will pretty much end, as we know it, on July 15. There's a possibility it can be saved, but that remains primarily in the hands of Congressmen, who may or may not even understand what Internet radio is.

It looks like the only group who isn't willing to save the Internet these days is the one on Capitol Hill.
Musicians, including well-known bands and smaller independent artists, have joined together in supporting Net Neutrality. On the actual website, Rock the Net, you can quickly get a list of the supporting artists and a list of upcoming concerts.
Does anyone even listen to the radio anymore? My kids and I invented a game that we play during school trips and road trips and anywhere in between (and even listening to the radio at home).
The game originated primarily because our local radio stations kept playing Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" two years ago. There were a few other newer hits that received roughly the same amount of play, so each person could select one new song. If your song was played on the radio, you would receive $1.
Spring begins many things, including my first love -- baseball.
There really isn't much that beats a spring or summer day, sitting in a favorite ballpark, watching baseball, eating nachos and just relaxing with a friend or two or 36,910. I would someday like to travel to every major league ballpark, but I'm going pretty slowly right now. I've visited just seven. Plus, I can't seem to stop going to my favorite place -- Wrigley Field in Chicago -- so maybe at least I'll see all the teams play there.
