It's late in the week. You are probably fretting even starting work today. Sounds to me like you need a little break. What I'm about to show you may mystify or confuse you. But remember, it's for your own good.

I'm really getting into the characters. I think you do a great job in setting up the characters, their pasts, etc. You are good at writing women, by the way. How did you learn how to do that?

Internet radio close to extinction?

Silence never sounded worse than now.

As of today, we have just a few days remaining until Internet radio will pretty much end, as we know it, on July 15. There's a possibility it can be saved, but that remains primarily in the hands of Congressmen, who may or may not even understand what Internet radio is.

Searching into the future

I have been an ardent subscriber to the Google theory since nearly the beginning. Here it was, just a little search engine that was way better than anything else out there. So now, the behemoth company has tons of data and information about you and nearly everyone else. What happens now?

Next stop: Gaithersburg, Md.

Although my summer signing schedule is pretty light, I will be in Gaithersburg, Md., in July for "The Developers." The event will take place at 2 p.m. July 8 at the Barnes and Noble (21 Grand Corner Ave.). I hope to discuss this book, as well as my new project, "Polos to Ties," which is keeping me mostly off the book tour circuit this year.

Way too many Web sites for contest-crazy fans

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you are bad in any way if you aren't a college basketball fan. But being from this area, you'd better know a little something about it because if not, your co-workers are sure to avoid you like a 72-year-old cheese log during the next few days.

March Madness is like a vacation; you wait forever for it to get here, then it's over before you know it. But rarely can you go on vacation and have a chance to win prizes and cash. There's a much better chance of just blowing it all.

New method for the advice committee

The advice section of these articles has taken an unexpected turn. I initially set out to help people with Internet-related issues, but the questions turned into something that resembled voting for your favorite color. So, I've restructured the idea in hopes of gaining actual advice that will be relevant to most people out there.

New book review scared me initially

I recently sent a few copies of "The Developers" to selected MySpace friends, in the hopes generating a little more feedback before attending Book Expo America back in June. Well, at least one of the individuals have weighed in, and the results were good, although I was worried as I initially started reading.
